Autumn is an awesome
season ...
The demise of summer
delights me ...
I know that this is treasonous
...
...
But summer now
dislikes ME
...
...
The heat ...
The light ...
The endless days ...
Leave ME totally
exhausted ...
Tantalising tints of
autumn colours ...
Leave me totally
exalted ...
And, of course, it
heralds winter ...
Whose days are long
enough for me ...
Crisp and clear, dark by five ...
A little walk* and
home for tea ...
And, even when it
rains ...
It doesn't bother me.....
Because, then, I sit
at home ...
And ..... write my
poetry!!
