“It’s the time of the Annual Duck Race,

To support the Mon. and Brec. Trust.

My get-up-and-go is raring to go ….

It’s the winning-post, or bust!

I’ll begin with power-swimming ...

And, then, a last-minute spurt.

I’ll swim, as I’ve never swum before….

I just hope I don’t get hurt….

(Some ducks can be awfully rough….)

And, when it’s finally over,

I’ll enjoy a glass of beer ...

To toast “The Coach and Horses”.
