P.E.M. AT 4 A.M.
P.E.M. AT 4 A.M.
To All My Dear M.E. Friends, With Whom This Will Undoubtedly Resonate ...
The usual fitful night of sleep ...
I wake at 4, again ...
This time, with punctual P.E.M ...
Nausea and pain ...
Such a lovely, easy walk ...
Just to see Nature's springtime dress ...
Tragic that something so benign ...
Triggers such pain ...
Such distress ...
And yet it can ...
And yet it does ...
There is no doubt about it ...
So must I then, with sadness, say:
"I'm better off without it...?"
