What a noise in the jungle today!

So many sounds to be heard ...

It's not a lion's roar ...

Nor an elephant's trumpet ...

Nor yet the screech of a bird ...

Ah ha, but what's this I now see?

What's this that I've found?

Party-poppers and party-hats ...

Strewn all over the ground!

The animals are having a party! ...

With music and dance and song ...

They're laughing, and joking ...

Prancing and dancing ...

Perhaps romancing??! !
The whole day long.

So I'll creep away very quietly ...

I'll hide behind this mound ...

Don't want to disturb them ...

Because I'm sure that tomorrow ...

Their sleep will be sound ... and profound!
