TO LOUISE

Louise has had enough of weddings.

Though she’s not against marriage, per se.

It’s just that she’s a little bit tired,

Of outlandish demands every day.

“We want some poles, for pole- dancing”.

“We want to get married in bondage gear”.

“We want a boat, to float, in the moat”.

“We want Good Queen Bess and Dudley here”.

Louise is completely professional.

But, oh, how strong the temptation has been,

To whisper in ears of happy couples:

“Save money! Have fun! Go to Gretna Green…..!”
