May Day OR "MayDay!"

MAY DAY

May Day... May Day... A time for celebration?

But, for those of us who live with FM and ME,

May Day has a somewhat different connotation,

Not celebratory, but: “Help me, help me!”

For far too long, we’ve been drowning, not waving.

But slowly, slowly, the tide is turning.

So many good people know we need saving.

“The lesson is not too late for the the learning”.

All our good people, too many to name,

The list is endless, it would take all day!

So, here are just some with a very good claim,

Good Doctors Charles and Ron, OMF, and MEA.

I hope we won’t have too much longer to endure.

Good Team ME/FM have us in their sights.

I hope that, very soon, they will find a cure

And put our damaged bodies and spirits to rights.
