SAMMY THE SNAIL

I am Sammy, a little snail,

Snug inside my home.

I can take it with me,

Wherever I may roam.

You can see it’s not very big,

But big enough for me.

In sun, rain, hail or snow,

It's where I like to be.

I'm really very shy, you see,

But not scared to be alone.

So, in my little caravan,

I'm happy on my own.

I travel very slowly,

There's no need to hurry.

I know people rush around,

But those people seem to worry.

So I will slither slowly,

To where I want to go,

And if, by chance, you see me,

Please do stop and say “Hello”.
