FOR PAM
FOR PAM, MY M.E. FRIEND IN GEORGIA
Queen Emmy the First
Queen Emmy the First sits on high,
(Gable of garage
roof),
Surveys her domain,
with a queenly eye,
Regal, serene,
aloof.
King Teddy the First
joins her,
They rub noses
together.
“Nice up here,
isn't it?” he says,
“Especially in
summer weather”.
“I’m hungry”,
says King Teddy.
“Do you think they
have our tea on?
“Well, let's go see”, says Queen Emmy,
Let's go now and ask
Ffion.”
Queen Emmy the First
ricochets off the roof,
Queenly hauteur
quite forgot,
For, if King Teddy
gets to food first,
She knows – oh, so
well - he will scoff the lot.
