On my pond-patio,

Yellow lesser celandines

And blue forget-me-nots,

Self-seeded.

Not planted by me ...

Perhaps by birds?

No gardener was needed.

They lift the spirit,

Delight the eye,

They’ll remain….

They won’t be weeded!
