Jonathan is a gentle man,

Kindly and sympathetic.

He has a sensitive soul,

Extremely empathetic.

He’s known people with ME,

So he has a good idea

Of the devastation ME wreaks,

When you effectively “disappear”.

He understands ME’s distresses -

Loss of a previous life,

Desertion by so many erstwhile “friends”,

And how that cuts like a knife.

So, I’d like to thank you, Jonathan,

For continuing to keep in touch.

And for being a constant friend.
I appreciate it, very much.
